Privacy policy

The short version: there are no accounts, no sign-in and no forms here, so the site collects little about you directly. It does use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, which sets cookies and runs only if you consent. The detail is below.

Who is responsible for your data

Haystack Rock Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 07572770), operates momofinance.co.uk and is the data controller for the personal data this site involves. Its registered office is Wimbourne, London Road, Chalfont St. Giles, England, HP8 4NQ. For any data protection question, contact privacy@momofinance.co.uk. This policy covers the content site only; the Momo app at https://app.momofinance.co.uk is a separate service with its own privacy policy.

What this site collects

Nothing through the page itself. There is no account to create, no form to submit, and no newsletter sign-up, so the site does not ask you for, or store, personal information directly. What it does involve is set out below: server logs, web fonts, and analytics.

• Server logs. The hosting provider records standard request data, your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, to serve the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is legitimate interests in running a reliable, secure service.
• Web fonts. The site loads the DM Sans typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches font files from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. The legal basis is legitimate interests in consistent typography; self-hosting the font to remove this is on the list.
• Analytics. Subject to your consent, the site uses Google Analytics. See the cookies and analytics sections below.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. This site uses only non-essential analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics. Because they are non-essential, they are set only after you agree through the cookie banner, and not before. You can accept or decline when you first visit, and change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings. Declining does not affect your use of the site.

Analytics

With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are read and how visitors arrive. It sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser type. Google processes this data on the site's behalf, and some processing may take place outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time; you can also opt out using Google's own browser opt-out. IP addresses are handled in the least identifying way the tool allows.

Affiliate links

Affiliate partnerships are not active. If they are activated later, this policy will be updated to explain any data shared with a partner when you choose to follow a partner link.

Where your data goes

Beyond the hosting provider, Google Fonts, and Google Analytics described above, the site does not share personal data with third parties. Serving fonts and running analytics may involve Google processing data outside the UK; such transfers rely on the safeguards Google provides for international data transfers.

How long it is kept

Server logs are retained by the hosting provider for a limited period for security and diagnostics, then deleted. Analytics data is retained for the period set in Google Analytics, after which it is aggregated or deleted. The site itself keeps no personal records.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw consent to analytics at any time. To exercise any of them, email privacy@momofinance.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
